Erik Dysthe

Executive Chairman

A long time board advisor to Wurldtech, Erik Dysthe (formerly Chair and CEO of MDSI) was appointed Chairman in 2007.  Mr. Dysthe utilizes his extensive experience as a strategist, entrepreneur and technologist to guide Wurldtech's growth as a leader in industrial cyber security.

In 1992, Mr. Dysthe established MDSI Mobile Data Solutions Inc.  Over the next fifteen years, MDSI became a leader in the mobile workforce management space, supplying electric, gas and water utilities, and telecommunications and cable operators worldwide.  Mr. Dysthe joined Mobile Data International in 1984 as a senior executive, where he was responsible for building its European mobile data business before it was acquired by Motorola in 1988.  Prior to joining MDI, Mr. Dysthe enjoyed a successful career in sales and marketing in the petrochemical business.

Mr. Dysthe currently serves on the board of Digital Dispatch Systems Inc. (TSX "DD"), Clevest Solutions Inc., Pacific BioEnergy Corporation and was formerly a director of Digital Dispatch Systems Inc.

D. Neil McDonnell

President and Chief Executive Officer

Neil McDonnell joined Wurldtech in July 2010 and is responsible for driving strategy and overseeing the company's operations.

Neil was formerly Chief Executive Officer and Chair of TeraSpan Networks, a broadband communications company developing fiber optic networking products for "last mile" application.  Previously, Neil was the Chief Operating Officer of Philips Lighting (SSL)/TIR Systems Ltd, a developer and manufacturer of Solid State Lighting Technologies; Chief Executive Officer of IP Applications Corp, a provider of outsourced IT services and products; Chief Operating Officer of MDSI Mobile Data Solutions Inc, a provider of mobile workforce management software and services, and President and Chief Executive Officer of Intrinsyc Software International, Inc., a developer of Microsoft and Linux based mobile devices.  Neil  is currently a Director of the BC Lottery Corporation and TitanStar Properties. 

He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto and a Master of Business Administration from the University of British Columbia. 

Nate Kube

Chief Strategy Officer

Nate Kube founded Wurldtech Security Technologies in 2006 and as the company’s Chief Strategy Officer is responsible for strategic alliances, technology and thought leadership.

Nate is an internationally recognized subject matter expert in embedded device protection for high-availability process automation, medical and health care industries.  Nate has created an extensive Intellectual Property portfolio and has filed five jointly authored patents in formal test methods and critical systems protection.

Nate has also co-authored numerous security publications for the embedded device security market, and frequently presents on cyber security issues.  Nate has testified on smart grid interoperability standards for the US Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and serves as an expert for the TC65 working group on the IEC 62443-2-4 international standards project. Simon Buckett

Vice President of Finance

As Vice President of Finance, Simon Buckett is responsible for Wurldtech's operations and financial reporting.  He brings over ten years of finance and project management experience working in private and listed technology companies in the UK, Canada and the US.

Prior to joining the Wurldtech team, Simon was a Manager of the Technology Audit Department for Ernst & Young, LLP, with responsibility for technology companies from Silicon Valley to Vancouver.  Buckett consulted on internal control and governance policy, the implementation of Sarbane's Oxley in a number of SEC registrants, and managed the reporting requirements of a range of private and public Vancouver based companies.  During his tenure in KPMG's Information, Communication and Entertainment Assurance Practice in Vancouver, he established a proven track record for financial leadership on major global accounts.

Simon is certified as a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelors of Management Sciences from the Warwick Business School (UK).
