Wurldtech At ABB Automation & Power World 2010

On May 17, Wurldtech’s CEO Tyler Williams will join cyber security leaders from ABB at this year’s Automation & Power World being held in Houston Texas.

Mr. Williams will be speaking as a subject matter expert in two sessions outlined below:

  • Session 1 - Security testing of T&D devices and systems: A very important aspect of improving the securing of the critical infrastructure is security testing. This workshop will discuss the different facets of security testing on device and system level. It will look at what type of security tests can and needs to be done by vendors, by dedicated testing laboratories and by utilities. The workshop will provide insights on benefits, but also the limitations of security testing.
  • Session 2 - Practical perspectives on securing the Smart Grid: Cyber security has been identified as a key enabler for new Smart Grid technologies and as a key challenge to overcome in order to realize a reliable Smart Grid. However, there are still many open questions that need to be addressed. This panel session brings together leaders in Smart Grid security to share their experience and to discuss different industry initiatives, solutions and approaches.
