Wurldtech's Risk Assessment Team Creates New Industrial Cyber Security "Health Check" for End Users

In 2010, Wurldtech saw our risk assessments business grow dramatically and we now have cross-functional teams located in Canada, the United States, and Europe to service the expected continued growth in 2011.  This expansion was driven mainly by large, multinational industrial end-users who required complex evaluations of major control system networks, and we noticed that a large gap existed for early stage end-users who faced the same level of risk to potential process disruption but had not the same internal expertise, available resources, budgets or business case to effectively invest in cyber security activities.  One size doesn't fit all!

Together with a small group of customers, our assessment team launched our new "ICS Health Check" assessment designed to provide early-stage end-users with a simple and cost-effective:

  • Analysis of the organization's overall threat/risk posture based on current systems, architectures and communications flows.
  • Evaluation of an organization's internal policies and procedures in comparison to industry best practices and international standards.
  • Roadmap of recommendations to reduce the gaps, prioritized based on severity, cost, ownership and resource requirements.

This offering provides the information necessary to build a strong internal business case for investing in industrial cyber security improvements.
